| Whitstable Harbour from the south quay, whitstable
is situated on the north kent coast and has been know for many years for
it's oysters . the image here shows the working harbour, which is being
used for delivery of aggregates for use in road building, the harbour also
has a small fishing fleet, and has two fish markets which are open to the
public and a restaurant. There are cockle fishermen and of course oysters
fisherman also working in the harbour and the Kentish Flats Windfarm run
there office from the west quay the east is used by an aggregates company
but there is also another restaurant and Bar there is also a oyster fishery
museum which is well worth a visit |
